Art library system for cataloguing and managing bespoke libraries for Thomas Heneage Art Books.

Art Library for Thomas Heneage Art Books

Founded 1977, Thomas Heneage Art Books are the UK's largest and one of the World's leading art bookshops based in London's gallery district of St. James's. The business focuses on selling art reference books; catalogues raisonnés, monographs and exhibition catalogues, worldwide.

The brief was to develop an online library system that allowed staff, institutional and individual customers to catalogue and manage bespoke libraries, tailored to clients’ interests.

A key part of the development was liaising with the vendor of their existing back-office system to ensure data could be easily and accurately exchanged between the two systems.

We worked closely with the client in defining the comprehensive search, import and cataloguing capabilities within the library and ensuring the final product retained a clean, easy to use interface (UI) that would be intuitive for their customers.
